Frances Burke Buchanan (Pistorino) of Weymouth, formerly of South Boston, died May 3, 2013 at the age of 96.
Frances loved to sing and entertain. For many years, she was featured at the Boston Summer Events at City Hall Plaza. She was a past commander of the Women’s Aux. DAV in South Boston.
Wife of the late Joseph F. Burke. Loving mother of Joanne McLean and husband Lincoln of Weymouth, Joseph Burke of Rockland, Joyce Dunkle of Quincy and Thomas Burke and wife Diane of Weymouth. Frances was the last of her 8 sisters including her twin sister Julia. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Donations in memory of Frances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
