Frances A. “Faye” (Lynch) Downey

Frances A. “Faye” (Lynch) Downey, of Quincy, formerly of Braintree, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 6, 2022. She was 69.

Born in Salem on April 14, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Francis V. and Ruth (Mahoney) Lynch. Faye was raised in Braintree, attended local schools and graduated from Braintree High School with the Class of 1971.

Faye was the wife of the late Paul J. Downey. She was the mother of Elizabeth A. Sulger and her husband Josh of Carver, and the late Brian F. Downey and his surviving partner Meredith Marini of Braintree. Faye was the grandmother of Amy Downey Whalen of Braintree, Andrina Marini of Braintree, Olivia Marini of Braintree, Anthony Downey of Braintree, Shane Sulger of Carver, and Madeline Sulger of Carver. She was the sister of Cynthia Dever and her husband James of North Carolina, Mary Ellen Gallant and her husband John of New Hampshire, Valerie Pandolfo and her husband William of Hanover, and the late Sheila Lynch. Faye is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Faye will be interred privately in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
