Frances A. Connelly

Connelly, Frances A. of Peabody formerly of Dorchester and Quincy, died peacefully December 7, 2014. 

Frances was educated at Boston State College, Bentley College and Suffolk University receiving her Business Degree and Masters Degree in Education.  She worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Education and State College System as an administrator.  After retiring from the State, Frances joined Newton College as the Registrar. For a third career, Frances worked for thirteen years as the Subscription Manager with the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.  Frances was an active member of her community always finding a way to get involved.  She volunteered for Cerebral Palsy, Quincy VNA and The Department of Social Services, just to name a few.  Frances was an extensive traveler both domestic and internationally.  She enjoyed knitting and spending time with those she loved. She will be sadly missed. 

Beloved sister of Leona Thorndike of NY and the late Alice Connolly, Mary T. Donovan, John Connelly and Mary Horgan. Loving aunt of many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:45 AM Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Frances may be made to Rosies Place at 889 Harrison Ave, Boston MA 02118.
