Florence T. Mckay

McKay, Florence T. of Weymouth, formerly of South Boston, passed away on March 1, 2017. She was 89.

Florence enjoyed reading, crocheting, and making afghans for her nieces and nephews for special occasions.  Daughter of the late Louis and Mary (McInerney). McKay. Sister of Elizabeth A. Mulloy and her husband, Bill, of Weymouth, the late Jean Callow and her husband, Robert of Quincy, the late Louis McKay and his wife, Ann, of Halifax, the late Robert McKay and the late Mary Rigney and her late husband, Norman.

She was also a Korean War Veteran serving with the United States Navy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday from 8:30 AM- 9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square), followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pope Nursing Home for the kindness and compassion shown to Florence and her family.
