Florence Stevens

Stevens, Florence P. (Bojarski) age 91 of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, Boston and Cambridge, died peacefully on August 3, 2014 at Royal Braintree Nursing Rehabilitation Center.

Florence was born on May 11, 1923 in Cambridge. She was raised and educated in the Cambridge Polish and public schools and was a member of the Cambridge High School Class of 1941. After graduation, Florence attended business school in Boston and pursued a career as a legal secretary and worked at Nutter, McClennen and Fish Law Firm in Boston. She and her late husband Thomas A. Stevens, Sr. moved from Boston to Quincy in 1956. She and her family lived in Quincy for fifty five years.

Florence also worked for the United States Post Office, the City of Boston and both she along with her late husband were the owners of Cammy’s Delicatessen in Norfolk Downs. In her spare time she love to dance, read, cook, garden and enjoyed traveling all over the world with her family and friends. Additionally, she loved bowling and was a long time member of the Hi- Nooners bowling league as well as the St. Ann’s Couples bowling league. Florence will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend by all those who loved her.

Florence is survived by her daughter Pamela M. Stevens of Weymouth, Thomas A. Stevens, Jr. of FL., Mark R. Stevens of Hopedale and Robert F. Stevens of Marshfield. Her grandchildren, Anna, Julia,Cory, Andrew and Mike Stevens. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Frank Bojarski, her brothers Theodore, Edward and Francis Bojarski. Also by her late husband Thomas A. Stevens and her grandson Thomas A. Stevens, III.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday from 2-6pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St, Wollaston. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 9:15am prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10am.

Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
