McNeice, Florence P. (Barry) of Braintree, a former longtime resident of Hingham, died July 21, 2012, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She spent her last days at home surrounded by her loving family. Flo is survived by her husband of more than 53 years, David, her daughter Judy LaChance of Danvers and her partner Kenneth Mielcarz, her granddaughter Jessica LaChance and her fiance Alexander Grillo. She was the mother of the late David J. McNeice, Jr. who died a hero in 1982, saving a man’s life. She is also survived by her sisters Frances Flynn of Brockton and Judy Simmons of Royal Oak, MI, and many nieces and nephews. Flo was born in Boston, graduated from North Quincy High School and Bentley School of Accounting (now Bentley University). As a young woman she was an excellent bowler and excelled at Bridge, earning many masters points. She was also a longtime Red Sox fan. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Donations in memory of Florence may be made to the Weymouth Elks Dream Come True Fund, PO Box 125, Weymouth, MA 02190.
