MacDougall, Florence B. “FLO” 89, of Largo, FL, passed away on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2008. She was born Feb. 20, 1919 in Boston. She was preceded in death by her husband David “MAC” MacDougall in June, 1991. Happily married for 50 years, she made her home and raised her family of five children in Quincy. During that time she was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Wollaston. She directed and produced a number of plays and musicals, sang in the choir and was a member of the Marston Class. In 1981, Flo and her husband retired to Largo, FL. In her later years she traveled to attend special family events in MA, CA and PA. She vacationed with family and friends, visiting HI, Mexico, ME, Nashville, Branson, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. She loved to cruise and sailed through the Panama Canal, along the Coast of Maine, Alaska and numerous Caribbean and Mexican ports of call. In 2004, she developed an avid interest in oil painting. In November, her health started to decline. After a long struggle, she is finally at peace. She is survived by five children: Edith L. Scott & her husband Philip of Hingham, David L. MacDougall, Jr. & his wife Nina of San Jose, CA, Carolyn M. Todd & her husband Terry of State College, PA, Robert W. MacDougall of Lutz, FL, and Sandra J. MacDougall of Auburn, CA. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren,and one great-great-grandson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, Tuesday, June 3rd at 10 AM. Funeral service in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 11 AM. Visiting hours Monday, June 2nd from 4-8 PM. Donations in Flo’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
