Flora A. Fucci

Flora A. Fucci, 95, of Weymouth and Marstons Mills, died peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2020, after a period of declining health.

Flora was the devoted wife of the late John A. Fucci. She was born and raised in Weymouth. Upon graduation from Weymouth High School during World War II, Flora worked at the Hingham Shipyard as an IBM Operator. Flora was employed at Weymouth Savings Bank for many years. After she retired, Flora and John moved to Marstons Mills and enjoyed their retirement to the fullest with friends and neighbors. She was an active member of the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Osterville. Flora enjoyed a life-long hobby of knitting, she was very talented and made beautiful things. She was affectionately known by many as “Aunt Flora”

Flora is survived by her sister, Lillian Roy, of Weymouth, and is predeceased by her sister, Concetta Santacroce, and her brother, William Scarpelli, both of Weymouth. Her life was enriched by her many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A private burial will take place at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit. A celebration of her life will take place at a future date. 

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Allerton House, Weymouth; South Shore Hospital, Weymouth; Bay Path Nursing Facility, Duxbury, for the care and kindness they have shown to Flora and her family.
