Buckley, Fay E. (King) of Braintree, passed away at the John Scott House in Braintree on April 18, 2016 at the age of 86.
She is predeceased by her husband Paul Buckley, her parents, Herbert and Emma (Leth) King, and her brother Verle W. King. Fay is lovingly remembered by her son David S. Wilcox and his wife Judy of Clearwater, FL, her cousins, Emily Stephen of Quincy, Geraldine Mullaney of Weymouth, and Robert Wentworth of ME. Fay was born in Quincy in 1929.
She lived most of her young life in E. Braintree and attended Braintree schools. Fay worked for many years as a successful Sales Associate for Bonwit Teller in Boston. Tall and willowy, she also worked as a part-time model for Bonwit’s many fashion shows. Fay enjoyed reading, crocheting, and also did some painting. She had a longtime fondness for her pet cats, nurtured from childhood and continued into adulthood.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street) on Friday at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fay may be made to Perkins School for the Blind, 175 N Beacon St., Watertown, MA 02472 www.perkins.org or your local animal shelter.
