Ms. Everwell "Missionary Pehlke" Pehlke (née Campbell), age 84, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Born on March 1, 1941, in Jamaica. Everwell was born into a huge family. Everwell lived a life guided by unwavering faith and a deep devotion to the Lord. Known affectionately as “Missionary Pehlke,” and "Aunt Eva" she was a source of spiritual strength and compassion for her family and within her community. Her belief in the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit shaped every aspect of her life. Everwell became a U.S. Citizen later in life. She was sworn in at Faneuil Hall in Boston, MA.
Everwell was a devoted mother to five sons: Louis Fox, Ian Fox, Jerry Pehlke Jr., Paul Pehlke, and Douglas Pehlke. She also took great joy in her role as grandmother to Joshua Fox and Shelby Fox. Her family was raised with strong values rooted in faith and perseverance—principles she exemplified each day.
A passionate missionary and teacher, Everwell dedicated much of her life to spreading the word of the Lord. She taught Sunday School with joy and founded the Angelic Choir, a musical ministry that included her children and enriched worship services with heartfelt praise.
Music brought Everwell immense joy. She loved to sing and explored piano and guitar with enthusiasm. In quieter moments, she found peace through crocheting, a creative expression of her patient spirit.
Professionally, Everwell served as a nurse, providing care and comfort to many. Her industrious nature led her to hold numerous jobs throughout her life, each approached with dignity and dedication. Her tireless work ethic stood as a testament to her belief that faith and effort could overcome any challenge.
A funeral service honoring Ms. Everwell "Missionary Pehlke" Pehlke will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, starting at 10am at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy, Massachusetts.
May her memory continue to inspire all who knew her to live with faith, purpose, and love.
