Evelyn V. “Evie” Coughlan

Coughlan, Evelyn V. “Evie”  (Moore) of Weymouth, died August 10, 2016, with her family by her side.

Evelyn was a sewing teacher at Saint Gregory’s High School in Dorchester for many years. Evelyn owned and operated Creative Bridal’s in Braintree for 23 years until her retirement.  She also enjoyed music. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

Beloved wife of 52 years to Jeremiah ‘Jerry’ Coughlan. Loving mother of Anne Marie Coughlan-Malfi and her husband, Thomas, of Yardley, PA, Brian J. Coughlan and his wife, Lauren, of Braintree, Kathleen DiChiara and her husband, Stephen, of Lincoln, R.I., and Michael Coughlan and his wife, Lisa, of Dorchester. Sister of the late Elaine O’Leary. Also survived by ten grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

The family would like to thank the staff and the nurse’s at John Scott Nursing Home, especially, Peggy and Sally for the wonderful care given to her.
