Tempesta, Evelyn M. (Gasciewicz) of Weymouth, passed away April 13, 2023. Evelyn was born in Boston to the late Mary and Kajetin Gasciewicz. She attended the Mary E. Curly School, class of 1943. Evelyn worked for many years at secretary for South Weymouth High School. Additionally, Evelyn worked for Weymouth Schools payroll department and Weymouth Retirement board. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, relaxing at the beach and spending time with family and friends.
Beloved wife of the late Vito J. Tempesta. Loving mother of Lewis “Skip” Tempesta and Kate of Halifax, Mark Tempesta of Weymouth, Gerard Tempesta and Jeanne of Rockland, John “Jack” Tempesta. Dear sister of Helene Gibson of Arlington, VA and the late Gus, Rose and Veronica. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Tempesta, Melissa Stewart, Gregory Tempesta, Ashley Tempesta and Brian Tempesta and great grandmother of Taryn and Benjamin Stewart. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
