Evelyn J. (Haas) Norris passed away at the age of 90, on August 19, 2022. She was a longtime resident of Weymouth.
Evelyn was born in Weymouth to the late Alfred and Mabel Haas. She worked for many years as a waitress at Eddie’s Diner, Martin’s Bakery, Joe’s Corner Store, and was a caregiver for several years in Brookline where she lovingly cared for Ida . Evelyn enjoyed gardening and was very dedicated to her family.
Loving mother of Donna Norris of Middleborough, Joyce Mead and her husband Charles of Reedsville GA and Gordon H. Norris, Jr. and his wife Denise of Plymouth. Dear sister of Doris Norris of Marshfield and predeceased by her siblings; Beverly Koffink, Beatrice Brown, Richard Haas, George Haas, Robert Haas and Allan Haas. Proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Evelyn also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends . Evelyn will be sadly missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 8/23/2022, 5-8PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, 8/24/2022 at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital), Weymouth. Burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
