Eugene “Geno” Marini

Marini, Eugene “Geno”, of Weymouth, died February 23, 2015. He was 94.

Geno was raised and educated in Quincy and has lived in Weymouth for 60 years. After graduating from Quincy High School, Geno began working at the shipyard as an apprentice carpenter and retired from General Dynamics 44 years later, in 1984, as a manager. Geno was a regular renaissance man with skills in painting, carpentry and ballroom dancing. He will be remembered for his quiet nature, talent and appreciation for life’s beauty.

Beloved husband of Annette (Beckman/Keith) Marini of Weymouth and the late Marie (Orlando) Marini. Devoted father of Robert Marini and his wife Marian of Lynn and the late Bryan Marini and his widow Anna of Sagamore Beach, Shawn Keith of Wareham, Eric Keith of TN, Michael Keith of Hyde Park and Brenda Sullivan and her husband John of Taunton. Loving brother of Louis Marini and his wife Irene of Weymouth and the late sisters, Annette Pulsifer, Sylvia, Gloria Blackman and Louise Dirksmeier. Cherished “Grampy Gene” of Francesca Marini, 8 Keith grandchildren, 3 Sullivan grandchildren and 3 Keith great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth at a later date.
