Eugene F. Sullivan, 84, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester and South Boston, June 14, 2002. Beloved husband of Nora T. (Carney). Loving father of Thomas E. and his wife Susan of Quincy, Kevin J. and his wife Nevia of Richmond, VA, Eugene (Geno) M. and his wife Barbara of Abington, Ellen M. and her husband David Joy of Billerica, and Stephen D. and his wife Priscilla of Avon, CT. Also survived by nine grandchildren, Jennifer Jae and her husband Augustine (Gus) of Hyde Park, Thomas and Heather of Quincy, Erin of Arlington, VA, Jessica of Lynn, Matthew of Virginia, Adrienne, Kerry and Andrew of Connecticut, and many nieces and nephews. Loving brother of the late Mary Comeau and John, Joseph, and Edward Sullivan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Sea Street, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Mr. Sullivan worked as a carpenter and machinist for 24 years at Gillette before working for the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk in Uphams corner for another 24 years, retiring in 1980. He served aboard the battleships Arkansas and New Jersey during World War II and aboard the New Jersey again in the Korean War. He also served in the Civil Conservation Corps in western Massachusetts in the 1930s and was a member of the DAV.Donations in memory of Mr. Sullivan may be made to the Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Boston, 49 Franklin St., Boston, MA 02110.
