Ethel L. Dwyer

Ethel L. (McWade) Dwyer, of Weymouth, formerly of Boston, died June 25, 2018, just before her 98th birthday.

Ethel devoted her life to her large family and enjoyed hosting holiday get-togethers. She loved reading, crossword puzzles and was a superb baker, specializing in her famous blonde brownies. She was a loyal and longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. She was a kind and gentle spirit, generous to multiple charities. She will be dearly missed.  

Beloved wife of the late William A. Dwyer. Devoted mother of Jack Dwyer and his wife Nancy of Plymouth, Susan Generous of Marshfield, Nancy Wentworth of Duxbury and Barbara O’Dette of Halifax. Cherished aunt and honorary mother of Elaine LaCoursiere and her husband Cliff of Southborough, Judy Langis of Hingham and Ginny Murray of Hull. Loving Nana of Chris, Kerry, Danielle, Matt, Lee, Michelle, Sarah, Lauren, Emily and 7 great grandchildren. Ethel was predeceased by 8 siblings. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ethel may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
