Esther V. Tempesta

Tempesta, Esther V. (Palladino) of Quincy, died June 27, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Paul D. Tempesta.  Loving mother of Frank P.Tempesta  and his wife Lynn of  Weymouth and Paul Tempesta of Quincy.  Cherished grandmother of Matthew Tempesta of Weymouth and Gregory Tempesta of Rockland.  Sister of the late Jackie Ansaldi, Elizabeth Vulso, Martha Brangiforte, Mary Doherty, William, Jerome and Salvatore Palladino. Sister in law of Eleanor Palladino of West Roxbury and Alfred Tempesta of Weymouth.

 

Esther was born in Boston and lived in Dorchester before settling in Quincy 51 years ago.  She worked for CVS in Quincy as a shift supervisor for 35 years before retiring in 2009.  She was a member of St. Ann Parish and was former president of the St. Ann Marianns.  Esther enjoyed bingo and trips to Foxwoods which she often organized through the church.  She was know for her quick whit and sense of humor.  Most of all Esther loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
