Esther (Kauffman, Clemens) Isenberg age 99 peacefully passed into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on January 28, 2015 in South Shore Hospital, South Weymouth, MA.  

She was born December 2, 1915 in Upper Strasburg, PA to Walter West Kauffman and Carrie Belle (Sites). Formerly of Lemoyne, PA Esther graduated from Lemoyne High School in 1933 with honors as class valedictorian and received her RN license from Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing in 1937 and served as their class secretary.  Esther worked as charge nurse in Harrisburg Hospital, as an American Red Cross nurse during the war years and later as a secretary at the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot.  She was a charter and faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene in New Cumberland, PA serving her Lord as pianist, Sunday school teacher, president of the missionary society and director of the Vacation Bible School. 

She is preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years W. Harold Clemens and her second husband of 20 years Rev. Donald T. Isenberg.  Also preceding her in death are her siblings Lillian Gill, Muriel Harlacher, Alice Ensminger (Harlacher), Samuel Kauffman, Wesley Kauffman and James Kauffman.  Esther is survived by her four children, William H. Clemens and wife Chicky of New Cumberland, PA; Loretta C. Fish and husband Richard of Hingham, MA; Carolyn R. Cline and late husband Gary of Carlisle, PA; Dr. Robert K. Clemens and wife Linda of Bozeman, MT; and stepdaughter Helen (Isenberg) Klumas and husband Jerald of Houston TX.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham. There will be a second viewing at Myers-Harner Funeral Home in Camp Hill, PA on February 7th followed by interment at Rolling Green Cemetery Chapel, Camp Hill, PA. A memorial service will be held on February 22nd at 3 PM at North Street Community Chapel, 235 North St., Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Esther may be made to the Chapel.
