Humphreys, Ernest W. “Ernie” of Weymouth formerly of Holbrook, unexpectedly passed away July 2, 2014.

Beloved son of Shirley of Holbrook and the late William Humphreys.  Loving companion and best friend of Judi (Josephs) Vigeant of Weymouth.   Loving father of Lisa Humphreys and her fiance Collin Curtis of Abington, Timothy Humphreys of Norwell and Stephanie Maniscalco and her husband Steven of Abington. Dear brother of Pam Humphreys and Bruce Holmquist of W. Bridgewater and Robert “Bubba” Humphreys and Paula Connolly of Swansea.  Cherished “Grampa” of 7 loving grandchildren. Ernie is also survived by Judi’s sons, Jeffrey and Alex and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ernie was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Weymouth Elks, Lodge No. 2232. He loved cruising on the water in his boat, fishing and riding his motorcycle.  He loved photography and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

He was a retiree of Verizon as well as a former member of IBEW. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Cremation will follow.

Donations may be made in Ernie’s memory to “Dream Come True” c/o Weymouth Elks, PO Box 125, South Weymouth, MA 02190.
