Ermes Cametti

Cametti, Ermes of Hingham, died on June 28, 2010. He was 87. Beloved husband of 60 years to Norma Marie (Hoffses) Cametti of Hingham. Devoted father of Chuck Cametti and his wife Chris of Manchester, NH and Stephen Cametti and his wife Jennifer of Hingham. Cherished Papa to Hannah, Samantha, Sarah, Mary, Alec and Nicolle. Loving brother of the late Mary Cametti. Mr. Cametti has been a Hingham resident since 1963. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and later on the Boston Police force for 30 years, retiring in 1985. His family describes him as an amazing, selfless and hard working man. He enjoyed story telling, singing, playing musical instruments, making people laugh and being surrounded by his loving family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday 4 – 8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Saturday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
