Emmanuel G. Stamoulis, (Mike) at the age of 79 of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Roslindale, MA, Passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009 with his dear friend and caretaker James Rowe by his side. Son of the late George and Mary Stamoulis. Beloved brother of Bessie Papageorg and her late husband Xenophon of Dorchester, MA, Theodora Macaronas and her late husband Louis of Manchester, NH. Devoted uncle and Godfather of Maria Hand, her husband Bruce of New Hampshire, Uncle of Thomas Macaronas of Kansas, Denise Macaronas of Maine, Evangelos Papageorg of Braintree Carolyn Watts, her husband Paul of Braintree and Maria Papageorg of Dorchester. Mike was a loving great uncle and great-great uncle of several nieces and nephews. Mike was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts June 7, 1929, and attended Boston Public Schools. He enlisted in the Navy in December 1950 during the Korean War serving on the USS Rehobeth and received an honorable discharge in August 1954 as a Second Class Petty Officer. Mike combined his love of photography, music and travel by producing several slideshows set to music. He received several awards and ribbons for his accomplishments in photography. Mike was a Master Member of the New England Camera Club (MNEC), former Officer of the Boston Camera Club, the Greater Lynn Camera Club, Associate of the Photographic Society of America (APSA), and former General Chairman of the 1972 Boston International Salon. Mike worked for EG&G as an Electrical Designer for many years before going to work for Stone & Webster working in Boston, Pittsburg, PA and Fort Worth, TX before retiring 18 years ago to Florida. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, WOLLASTON Tuesday at 10AM. Funeral Service in St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common Street, Braintree, at 11AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8PM. Burial in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to either St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church or to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Mike’s family wishes to thank his doctor’s, nurses, caregivers and Ft. Lauderdale Health Rehabilitation Center and VITAS Hospice for the wonderful care and attention given to our Brother and Uncle. He will be sorely missed. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again
