Emma Cassidy

Cassidy, Emma July 20, 1921 – April 30, 2014.

Emma Cassidy passed away on April 30, 2014 in Wellesley, MA. The funeral service was held at the U.S. National Cemetery on Connery Avenue in Bourne, MA on Monday, May 5 at 10:45 a.m.  

Emma was born in Augsburg, Germany in 1921.  She married Paul Cassidy in 1948  and  moved to the Boston area where she made they made their home and raised their family.  She was a devoted mother and wife.  Emma was predeceased by her husband of 65 years  and  is survived by their four children, Donna, Charles, Paula and Michael.  She also leaves two grandchildren, Tyler Cassidy age 21 and Zoe Cassidy, age 19, and her son-in-law Robert Murphy and daughter-in-law Katherine Freund.  She has two remaining siblings, Hans Kugelmann and Lidi Kugelmann, who reside in Germany.

Emma was a loving, out-going woman with a ready smile and a kind disposition who always thought of the needs of others before her own.  She will be sorely missed.
