Prizio, Elsie R. of Quincy born on April 9, 1935 died September 13, 2008. Beloved daughter of the late George J. and Elsie (Bedford) Prizio. Devoted sister of Rose-Ellen Battistelli-Leach of Danbury, CT. Dear aunt of Charlene Mayo of Waterbury, CT, and 3 nephews. Cherished great aunt of Charles Mayo Jr. of Quincy and 7 great nieces and nephews. Loving great great aunt of Alana K. Dortch. Adored by many cousins and countless friends. Elsie received a Masters Degree in Education from Boston University teaching grades K-12 and throughout College. Her specialties were not only in teaching English, reading, and writing but in the training and development of social, professional and interpersonal skills as well. Receiving countless awards and recognitions for community work, writing a column for the Boston Globe, editing children’s books and serving as president of the Women’s National Book Club of the Boston Chapter for several years, Elsie transferred her expertise into running her own business as a consultant in corporate communication skills. Elsie retired from a very successful business to care for her father and take control of his business as a property manager. Elsie’s countless accomplishments were only surpassed by her love and compassion for her family and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, MA Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 6 – 9 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
