Elmer J. “Babe” Walsh

Walsh, Elmer “Babe” J. of Quincy a lifelong resident of Hough’s Neck, died surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 28, 2010, he was 96. The beloved husband of 67 years to Josephine (Kudaroski) Walsh. Loving father of John Walsh and his wife Ellen of Quincy and Joan Olinto and her husband John of Milton. Brother of the late Ruth, Theodore, Leo and Eleanor Walsh. Grandfather of Amie Sudduth, Jon Olinto, Lauren Carucci, Joseph Olinto and Gregg Walsh. Great Grandfather of Jack & Will Olinto. Babe was a member of the Quincy Yacht Club. He enjoyed boating, fishing and carpentry. He worked for more than 40 years as a machinist at Fore River Shipyard retiring back in 1979. Babe will be remembered as a devoted family man who cherished his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Babe may be made to Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 26 Shed Street, Quincy, MA 02169 .
