Ellen D. Mctammany

Ellen D. McTammany died peacefully at home in Linden Ponds on January 2, 2014.

She was the devoted wife of John for 63 years. Cherished mother to Gael Casnet, Wynn McTammany and Janet Bradley: caring mother-in-law to John Casner and Mike Bradley. Loving grandmother to Grant and Drew Casner and Jenna and Shaun Bradley.

Ellen began her life’s journey in Hunsdale, IL where she was one of four children (Hugh, Anne and Scott) born to Ruth and Phil Dickinson. She attended Lawrence University in Appleton,WI and later married a naval officer.

Ellen lived life to the fullest. She spent decades traveling the US and beyond as a Navy wife, collecting friends, gardening tips and recipes along the way. Her artistic flair revealed itself as a window display artist for a small boutique. She eventually became an accomplished jewelry designer whose unique creations delighted those lucky enough to own one of her pieces. She also had a flair for fashion that was reflected in her daily attire.

Ellen touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in the future.
