Ellen Curley

Curley, Ellen 97 of Quincy died peacefully at the Eventide Nursing Home in Quincy, on Nov.20, 2010. Ellen was born in Ahascragh, Ballinasloe, Co Galway, Ireland 1913 and came to the Massachusetts in 1950. She was the daughter of the late John & Theresa (Dolan) Curley, Ellen lived in Chelsea until 1987 when she moved to the Merrymount section of Quincy and was a daily communicant at Our Lady of Good Councel. She was formerly employed by American Biltrite of Chelsea. She was the loving aunt of Theresa Gardiner of Quincy, William Downey of Lexington, John Downey of Virginia, Gerard Downey of West Peabody, Jane Mahon of Milton, Theresa Egan of Norwood and many nieces and nephews in Ireland. Ellen is predeceased by her brothers and sisters Mary Downey, Margaret Curley of Quincy, Kathleen Mahon, of Milton, Bridget Donohue, Theresa Glynn, Sr Elizabeth Curley Society of the Holy Child Jesus, John Curley, Leonora Mulvey, Josephine Kenney all of Ireland. The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Eventide Home for their care and support. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday November 26, 2010 9am – 10:30am in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock ST., Wollaston prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 11AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Quincy.
