Ellen M. Bohmbach

Ellen M. Bohmbach (Keegan), a longtime resident of Quincy, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. She was 84.

She was born in Boston to Elizabeth (Hoar) and Joseph J. Keegan and raised in Milton. Ellen graduated from Milton High School in the Class of 1958. After school, she went on to work as an administrator for Hunneman and Co. After a couple of years in the workforce, Ellen met Robert Charles Bohmbach. They met at a dance hall in Braintree. They dated for a year and a half before getting married and living in Hyde Park. They started a family, having 4 children and found their forever home in Quincy, where they would spend their remaining years together.

Ellen was everything you could ask for in a mother. She was loving, caring and took amazing care of the home. She was a social butterfly and loved being around family and friends. When she had time to herself, she tended to her yard and was an avid reader. She was also a communicant at St. John the Baptist Parish in Quincy for over 60 years.

Beloved wife of 45 years to the late Robert Charles Bohmbach. Devoted mother to Ellen Bohmbach of Quincy, Robert Bohmbach and his wife Lisa of Taunton, Joseph Bohmbach and his wife Carol of Milton, and Edward Bohmbach of Weymouth, and former daughter in law, Sarah Bohmbach of Plympton. Adoring Nana to Teresa and her husband Cody, Kathryn, Leah, Natalie, and Peter. Loving Great Grandmother to Kane and Blake. Sister to Joseph Keegan of Moultonborough, NH and the late Mary Gisi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday March 26, 2025, from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday March 27, 2025, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
