Elizabeth R. Ahern

Elizabeth R. (Crawford) “Bette” Ahern, of S. Weymouth, passed away June 23, 2015. She was 89. Bette enjoyed traveling, especially to Pilgrim Beach Village in Truro for family vacations, to their family vacation home in Ossipee, New Hampshire and to South Padre Island, Texas to escape the cold New England winters. She loved boating, wildlife and was an avid photographer and painter. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her sweet nature and sense of humor. 

Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Thomas J. “Mickey” Ahern. Devoted mother of Jack Ahern and his wife Shah of Singapore, Brian Ahern and his fiancé Danielle Burke of Bangor, ME. and Deb Forbes and her husband Pat of Hanson. Loving sister of Valerie Sarno and her husband Andrew of Marston Mills and predeceased by 3 siblings. Sister in law of Shirley Crawford of Waltham. Cherished grandmother of Seri and Hafiz, Grady and Joe, Michelle, Cori-Lynne and Brody. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Services will be private.
