King, Elizabeth L. (Horton) of Quincy formerly of Dorchester, February 9, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Arthur J. King, Sr. Loving mother of Betty Lou Applegate and her husband Bob of Milton, Ann Marie Carney and her husband Peter of Natick, Arthur “Tiger” and his wife Anne of Fall River, Edie Wallace and her husband Roy of Quincy, Jacqueline Lopez and her husband Bill of Carver, Gordon and his wife Veronica and Matty and his wife Sunshine; all of New Bedford. Sister of George of UT, Edith McCardell of PA, Gerald of Brockton, Alice Doherty of Whitman and the late Ethel McDougal, Laura DeLong, Dorothy, Gilmore and Helen Horton. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the requiem mass in All Saints’ Church, 209 Ashmont St., Dorchester Friday at 11 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Elizabeth loved crafting especially; plastic canvass, embroidery, knitting and crochet. She enjoyed playing cards and loved listening to music. She was a former member of the Salvation Army. Elizabeth shared the exact same birthdate as her mother Edith Ellen Malin. Donations in memory of Mrs. King may be made to Salvation Army 6 Baxter St. Quincy, MA 02169 or All Saints’ Church, 209 Ashmont St, Dorchester MA 02124.
