Elizabeth K. Guilfoyle

Guilfoyle, Elizabeth K. (Sweeney) of Braintree, died July 10, 2017.

Daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Lent) Sweeney. Dear wife of the late Robert L. Guilfoyle. Loving mother of Elizabeth L. Shatas and her husband Timothy of Walpole and Caroline M. Barry of Braintree. Cherished “Nana” of Jackson and Emily Shatas. Sister of Jeffrey F. Sweeney and his wife Donna of Braintree.

Beth was a high school graduate of Archbishop William High School.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Mount St. Mary in N.H. and pursued her graduate degree at Suffolk University. Beth was an elementary school teacher for over 20 years at the C.M. Callahan Elementary School in Norwood.

Beth loved her family and particularly her grandchildren.  She enjoyed going down to the Cape in the summer.  One of Beth’s passions was flowers.  After she retired, Beth earned her florist degree to pursue becoming a florist.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 8:30-9:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
