Elizabeth H. “Liz” Rubbo

Elizabeth H. “Liz” (Fisher) Rubbo of Weymouth, died September 13, 2013 at the age of 90.

Liz was a lifelong resident of Weymouth. During WWII, Liz worked at the Quincy Shipyard and later worked for many years at Weymouth Art and Leather. She then became a devoted mother and raised her family. Liz’s family was the foundation of all that was important to her. She will be sadly missed.

Beloved wife of the late Sebastian M. “Saby” Rubbo. Devoted mother of Nicholas M. Rubbo of Weymouth, David F.  Rubbo of Marshfield and Mary Beth Phillips of Quincy. Loving sister of Pearl Nichols of Pembroke and the late Elmer “Chick” Fisher, Lillian Edmonds, Edward Fisher, Nellie Hippler, Frank Fisher, Anastasia Gillis and William Fisher. Cherished “Nonna” of Gene and Gregory Phillips, Nicholas and Sebastian Rubbo and great-grandchildren Kayla, Angelina, Samantha and Giada Phillips. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
