Elizabeth F. “Liz” Mcnamara

McNamara, Elizabeth F. “Liz” (Bowie) of Quincy, passed away June 21, 2012. Beloved wife of the late James McNamara. Loving Mother of James G. McNamara of Quincy, Thomas J. McNamara and his wife Mary of Weymouth, Joseph P. McNamara and his wife Lucy of Westwood, Ann F. Muise and her husband Gary of Sharon, Patricia “Patty” McNamara of Quincy and Elizabeth “Liz'” McDonald and her husband Paul of Norwood. Sister of the late Kathleen Mulvaney, Annie Toolan, Maryellen Kennedy and Thomas Bowie. Cherished grandmother of Caroline McDonald of Norwood, Bridget and Joseph McNamara of Westwood, Christine and Shannon Musie of Sharon and Stephen, Scott and Christopher Nickerson of Weymouth. Liz is also survived by 11 great grandchildren. Liz was born in Ireland and came to the United States in 1947. She settled in Quincy and raised her family with her husband James. Liz was a devoted Catholic and loved her church. She enjoyed cooking, bike riding and was an avid reader. Most of all Liz loved her family, she will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass at 10am in St. Ann’s Church, Wollaston. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
