Elizabeth “Betty” (Ardini) Flynn, 82, of Whitman, formerly of Brockton and Weymouth, died March 1, 2021.

Betty was passionate about helping others and spent a lot of her time volunteering. She was active at the Westgate Chapel as a volunteer, cook and member of the choir. She was known as the “Sunshine Lady” at Bourne Oaks and enjoyed time as a home health aide and caretaker of the elderly. Betty was fiercely devoted to her family and was very proud and loving. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Devoted mother of Edward Flynn of AZ, Susan Levangie Flynn of Wareham, Daniel Flynn and his wife Nancy of Foxboro, Maryanne Gonski and her husband John of Plymouth, Dianne Kelley and her husband Anthony of Hanson, Joe Flynn of New Bedford and Sheila Flynn and her fiance Dan Lapine of Greenfield. Loving daughter of the late Elizabeth Ardini, sister of the late James Ardini and loving aunt of Heidi and David Ardini. Cherished Nana of 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, March 5th from 11:30 AM -1:30 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Additional services will be private. Betty will be laid to rest in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. If you are unable to gather together with Betty’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by clicking the link above and sharing a special memory or message.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
