O’Leary, Elizabeth “Betty” A. of Quincy October 3, 2008. Beloved wife of Robert J. Keough of Quincy. Daughter of the late Frank J. O’Leary. Devoted step-mother of Denise Maloney of Newbury. Loving sister of Arthur O’Leary and his wife Maureen of Cohasset and the late Marjorie Joyce. Loving aunt of Thomas Joyce, Timothy Joyce, Stephanie Whouley, Brian O’Leary, Paul O’Leary, Anne Burke, Maureen O’Campos, Liz Milner and Terry O’Leary. Cousin of Donald O’Leary. Cherished step-grandmother of Robert West of South Boston and Kimberley Maloney of Newbury. Betty was a 1953 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Boston. She was a 1958 graduate of Massachusetts General School of Nursing and graduated from Boston University with a bachelors degree in nursing. She was employed for the Veterans Hospital in Jamaica Plain for many years before retiring in 2001. After retiring Betty worked at The Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Jamaica Plain. In her eariler years she worked as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, Cardinal Cushing/Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton and spent 3 years working at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu Hawaii. She loved to travel and enjoyed going to the beach. She served a a Major in the Massachusetts Air National Guard. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, Wednesday at 10:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 11 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to Caritas Home Care 3 Edgewater Drive Norwood, MA 02062.
