Elizabeth “Betty” Tempesta

Elizabeth “Betty” Tempesta (DiTocco) of Weymouth, became a Christmas Angel on December 24, 2022. She was 86 years old.

Born and raised in Quincy, Betty had worked for Quincy Mutual Insurance for many years. She was an avid gardener and lover of animals. Betty will be remembered for her impeccable style and how she was always dressed to the nines. Most of all Betty will be missed by all of her nieces and nephews, who she loved as if they were her own children. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Daughter of the late Antonio and Mary DiTocco (Chella). Beloved wife for 47 wonderful years to Alfred Tempesta of Weymouth. She leaves behind her “daughter in spirit” Sandra Bylaska of Quincy, and 37 loving nieces and nephews. Devoted sister to Anthony DiTocco of FL. and Judith Bellissimo of Wayland and the late Robert ,William and John DiTocco, Virginia Giachetti, Lillian Cantrell, Eleanor Bylaska, Joan Flaherty and Pearl Hickey. Loving companion to her dog, Gracie. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
