Elizabeth A. Niak

Elizabeth  A. (Nasalski) Niak of Randolph, formerly from Dorchester, died at home on September 10, 2016, surrounded by the family she cherished. The beloved wife of almost 22 years to George ”Butch” Niak of Randolph. Loving mother of Donald MacFarland, Jr. and his companion Colleen Mellios  of Martha’s Vineyard, Richard MacFarland and his companion Bette Moore of Salem, NH, Debra MacFarland and her companion Bill LeBlanc of Randolph, Bernard MacFarland, Sr. and his wife Phyllis of Weymouth and Lisa  Stock of Randolph. Daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Ryer) Nasalski. Sister of Marie Hier and her late husband J. Albert Hier of Weymouth, Bernadette Lane and her husband Charles of Hull, and the late Mildred “Millie” Bailey and Ronald Nasalski. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved companion, her dog “Buddy.”

Elizabeth enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to Foxwoods and Martha’s Vineyard. She was a warm, caring and generous woman, who devoted her life to her family. She truly enjoyed having her family gather for holidays and loved every minute she was able to spend with her grandchildren. Elizabeth will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her outgoing personality. She will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday  at 9:15am prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in St. Margaret’s Church,  800 Columbia Road, Dorchester at 10:30am. 

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

Donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
