Elizabeth A. Murphy-Mclaughlin

McLaughlin – Murphy , Elizabeth A. of Weymouth formerly of Quincy, died on Oct. 1, 2010 surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Michael L. McLaughlin of Newton, Susan M. Smyth of Hoboken, NJ, Judi O’Day of Weymouth, Thomas G. McLaughlin of Morristown, NJ and Gene McLaughlin of Taunton. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren . Elizabeth worked as a manager for New England Telephone Company for more than 30 years, she retired in 1992. After her retirement, she started a new career as a travel agent. She was able to travel the world and she especially enjoyed Bermuda. Elizabeth was an avid reader and loved the beach. She was a woman who had a great life! She will be sadly missed by her family who were blessed to have had such a great woman in their lives. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock St., Quincy on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to The Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
