Elizabeth A. Mullen

Mullen, Elizabeth “Betty” Ann (Flaherty) of Quincy, died January 13, 2015. 

Beloved wife of the late John F. Mullen, Sr.  Loving mother of John “Jack” F. Mullen Jr. and Christina M. Mullen both  of Quincy.  Sister of the late Marcus and Thomas Flaherty.  Cherished grandmother of James “Jake” and John Mullen both of Quincy. Betty was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was born in Scituate.  She was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and Becker College.  Elizabeth was a dedicated employee of State Street Bank in Quincy and Boston for 47 years before retiring.  She was a devoted Catholic and a daily communicant at Sacred Heart Church and Saint Ann’s Church.  Elizabeth  volunteered at Sacred Heart during the Christmas time to help with the gift  program for the less fortunate people in her community.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family.  Most of all Elizabeth’s family was truly the most important aspect of her life.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 9 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
