Elizabeth A. Morgan

Morgan, Elizabeth A. (Mordhorst) of Hingham, formerly of South Egremont, MA and Long Island, NY July 22, 2006. Wife of the late George H. A. Morgan. Beloved mother of Elizabeth A. Morgan of Westwood and Marian K. and her husband Peter Dikeman of Wayland. Cherished grandmother of Brett Dikeman of Wayland and Joshua Morgan of Westwood. Loving sister of Katherine Clark of Miller Place, Long Island. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elizabeth Morgan may be made to New England Friends Home, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043. Elizabeth was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Baldwin High School in Baldwin, NY. Prior her marriage to the late George H.A. Morgan, Elizabeth was an Executive Secretary for many years. During WWII George’s unit in the Army was transferred to various locations across the country. Elizabeth traveled by train to stay in close proximity to her husband. At each location she would do clerical work for various companies, including Aero Jet. She traveled to such places as Arizona, Texas and California. Elizabeth and George moved to the Berkshires after retirement, where Elizabeth was very active in volunteering at the Cancer Society, Fairview Hospital, Council of Aging, League of Women Voters, and Senior Center. Elizabeth lived in the Berkshires for many years, moving to Scituate for a few years, then to New England Friends Home in Hingham in 1999.
