Elizabeth A. Glancy

Elizabeth A. Glancy, 91 of Hingham died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Royal Norwell Nursing Home in Norwell, MA.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late William H. Glancy, Jr. She leaves her loving children, Jean Vaughn and her husband John W. of Norwell, Ellin Booras and her husband Christopher P, of Scituate and William H. Glancy III and his wife Patricia of Irvine,CA. Elizabeth was the proud grandmother of seven loving grandchildren, Matthew C. Booras of Charlestown, Carolyn Vaughn, MD of San Francisco, CA, Kaitlyn Glancy of San Francisco, CA, Thomas and Steven Glancy both of Tucson, AZ.

Elizabeth and her late husband William, lived in the town of Hingham since 1947 and took great pride in the community. A graduate of Regis College Class of 1943, she enjoyed traveling, gardening and golf. An avid reader, Elizabeth volunteered at the Hingham Public Library for many years. She was a fierce supported of all her grandchildren’s activities. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 3-7pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 9:15 am prior to the Funeral Mass in the Church of the Resurrection on Thursday at  10 am. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
