Elizabeth A. Fenton

Elizabeth A. (Magner) Fenton of Weymouth, died July 1, 2013. Elizabeth grew up in Hingham, graduating from Hingham High School. Her love for acting led her to attend Lelan Powers Dramatics School in Boston. Elizabeth was affectionately known as the “Mother” of midget football and little league in Long Island, which her husband Joe helped to establish. She supported her husband and family through all of their choices, goals and aspirations and they were the foundation of everything that was important to her. She will be remembered as a strong and independent woman who faced every life obstacle with grace and a sense of humor. 

Beloved wife of 33 years to the late Joseph G. Fenton. Devoted mother of Steven Fenton and his wife Susan of Plymouth and the late Bruce Fenton. Cherished “Grammy Darling” of 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Loving sister of the late Kathryn Magner and George Magner, Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Monday at 10:00 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
