Cafano, Elizabeth “Liz” (Rose) of Quincy, age 57, passed away at home after a long illness on Thursday, Nov. 18th surrounded by family. Liz was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Rose, she is survived by her loving husband Joe of 27 years and the pride of her life her boys Mark of Orlando, FL, Michael and Joseph Jr. of Quincy, MA, her sisters the late Maurein and her husband James Johnston of Ambridge, PA, Margaret and her husband James Powers of Tewksbury, MA, brothers Edward and his wife Louise rose of Bluffton, SC, Thomas and his wife Susan Rose of Medfield, MA, James and his wife Janet Rose of Westwood, MA, her brother in law Anthony and his wife Margaret Cafano of Norwell, MA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her strength, composure and sense of humor she was able to maintain in the last years of her illness were an inspiration. Liz’s family is very grateful for all who cared for her especially those in the last two years of her illness. Liz was born in Brighton and educated at St. Columbkille’s moved to Westwood after High School and attended Bay State College. She has been a Quincy resident for the past 27 years. She enjoyed her job as an office manager at Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Norwood where she worked for 25 years. Liz loved spending time with her friends and family. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who new her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15AM on Tuesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Liz may be made to So. Shore VNA, 100 Baystate Dr., Braintree, MA 02184.
