Elizabeth A. “Betty” Coyne

Coyne, Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Maher) of Weymouth, died April 22, 2014.

Betty lived in South Boston before moving to Weymouth over 45 years ago. She enjoyed reading, shopping and following the Boston Bruins. Betty’s family was the foundation of all that was important to her. She will be remembered for her gregarious personality and kind heart. 

After 57 years of a loving marriage, Betty is at peace with her husband Donald P. “Dutchie” Coyne. Devoted mother of Marla True and her husband Mitch of Fairfield, VT and Kevin Coyne and his wife Carolyn of Marshfield. Cherished “Nana” of Sheila Mercon, Kevin O’Donnell, Ethan Sawyer, Benjamin Sawyer, Sarah Coyne, Caity Coyne and great-grandchildren Katie Mercon and Kevin O’Donnell. Loving sister of John Maher of Weymouth and Robert Maher of Quincy. Sister-in-law of Carol and Betty Maher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.
