Reilly, Elizabeth A. (Boyle) “Bethann” of Weymouth, died July 15, 2023. She was 87.
Bethann was born in St. Matthew Parish Dorchester and graduated from St.Matthews and Mount Saint Joseph Academy. She has resided in East Weymouth since 1962 and was very active in St. Albert’s Parish and was an integral participant in the successful efforts to keep the church open in 2004. Bethann was a woman of strong faith and fortitude. She was a long term paraprofessional at Weymouth North and Weymouth High School and was beloved by the thousands of students who passed through during her tenure. First and foremost she was a caring, compassionate and loving Mom, wife, grandmother and great grandmother.
Loving wife of 64 years to John Reilly of Weymouth. Cherished mother of Annemarie Gable and her husband Eric of Weymouth, Michael Reilly and his wife Debbie of Braintree, Kevin Reilly and his wife Maureen of Weymouth, Maureen Connolly and her husband Doug of Weymouth, Patricia Reilly of Scituate, Kathleen Ford and her husband John of Wrentham. Beloved grandmother to Tom Gable, Caroline Gable, Jeff Reilly, Courtney Groeneveld, Erin Reilly, Elena Reilly, Brendan Reilly, Hannah Reilly, Chris Reilly, Nolan Connolly, Meghan Connolly, Liam Connolly, Sean Rielly, Matt Rielly, Jack Rielly, Brady Ford, Ryan Ford, and Kaitlyn Ford. Great-grandmother to Patrick Groeneveld, Lulu Groeneveld, Beau Reilly, JJ Reilly, and Lena Reilly. Also survived by family friend Steve Malley. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Lifelong friend of Ann Doherty of Florida. Predeceased by her parents Anna and William Boyle and siblings Joseph Boyle, Mary Easter, and Sheila Trant.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in Bethann’s memory may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 or to Boston Children’s Hospital 300 Longwood Avenue Boston.
