Elinore R. Keegan

Elinore R. (MacDonald) Keegan, lifelong resident of Weymouth, died June 27, 2016 at 88 years old.

Elinore enjoyed gardening, bird watching, other outside activities and reading the newspaper or listening to knowledgeable talk radio hosts. She cherished memories of growing up in Weymouth. She was fiercely devoted to her family and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.  

Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Frank G. Keegan. Devoted mother of Garrett Keegan and his wife Sara of Lakeville, Joanne Keegan Sibbald and her husband Robert of Weymouth, Michael Keegan and his wife Judith of Dighton, Brian Keegan and his wife Kathryn of Weymouth, Maryellen Taylor and her husband Mark of Weymouth and the late James Keegan. Cherished Grammy of Kristine Brooks, Rachel Keegan-McGlinn, Thomas, Daniel and Ian Sibbald, Rory Haley, Sarah Argyropoulos, Karen Taylor, Courtney, Bart, Molly, Andrew and Robert Keegan, and great-grandchildren, Fiona and Benjamin Keegan-McGlinn, Kendall and Connor Woodward and Spencer Brooks. Loving sister of Mary (Billie) Ahl of Middleboro and William MacDonald and his wife Jo-An of Nevada. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).

Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Friday at 10 AM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 PM.
