Lipsitz, Elenda J. “Linda” (McIntosh) of Quincy April 21, 2002. Wife of the late Saul Lipsitz. Loving mother of Michael E. McCarron of Saratoga Springs, NY, Elenda “Linda” “Rinnie” P. Robin of Brockton & the late James A. McCarron. Sister of Thomas Porter of NJ, and the late Elizabeth Goodwin, Howard, Edward, Margaret G., and Richard M. McIntosh. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Thursday at 8:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 9 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15 AM. Mrs. Lipsitz worked with her husband at their business Decco Rod Shop in Quincy for 20 years. Before that, she worked at the South Station Oyster Bar as a waitress and at Raytheon in Quincy in the Grid Dept. as a Union Steward Supervisor. She was a member of the Quincy Conservation Committee for many years, the Quincy Citizens Wollaston Park Association, the Quincy Rent Grievance Board and she won the Quincy Citizen of the Year Award with her husband in 1980. She enjoyed dancing, swimming, traveling to Las Vegas & Florida, and attending events at the VFW and the Knights of Columbus.Donations in memory of Mrs. Lipsitz may be made to Alzheimers Assoc., MA Chapter, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140 or Hospice of the S. Shore, 100 Baystate Dr., PO 9060, Braintree, MA 02184.
