Eleanor T. (Hegerich) Winters

Winters, Eleanor T. (Hegerich) of Quincy, died March 5, 2014.

Beloved wife of the late George Winters.  Loving mother of  Kenneth Winters and his wife Francine of Plymouth, George Winters of Quincy and Charles Winters and his wife Debbie of New Hampshire.  Sister of Dorothy, Margaret, and Jill, predeceased by sisters, Mary, Rita, Katherine, and Louise, and brother, Charles.  Cherished grandmother of Kim, Jill, Michael, David, Jennifer and Courtney.  Eleanor is also survived by 5 great- grandchildren.

Eleanor was born in Boston and grew up in Roxbury, she was a graduate of Mission High School.  She was employed by Osco in Quincy for many years before retiring in 1990.  Eleanor enjoyed crocheting, knitting and trips to Foxwoods with her friends.  An avid Red Sox fan, she never missed watching a game.  Most of all Eleanor loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
