Daly, Eleanor T. of Northboro and longtime resident of Hull. passed away April 11, 2011. Beloved sister of Margaret A. Dahill of Hudson, Mary F. Byrne of Waltham and Catherine J. Riley of Waban. Loving aunt and great-aunt to several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was born and raised in Belmont. Eleanor worked for Boston Edison for 30 years, retiring as Vice President in 1986. Eleanor was a member of St. Ann’s Sodality and Retired Officers Association. Eleanor was a very educated woman earning degrees from Simmons College, Wentworth Institute, Harvard Radcliffe Business Administration Program, Northeastern University and Honorary PhD from Wentworth Institute. Eleanor was a devoted Catholic and was very active at St. Ann’s Church in Hull. She was also very proud of her volunteer work at Wellspring in Hull. Most of all Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. She was a United States Navy Veteran. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 3-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 9 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to St. Ann’s Parish Scholarship fund, 208 Samoset Ave. Hull, MA 02045 or Alzheimer’s Assoc. MA Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
