Eleanor May Kennedy

Eleanor May (Finch) Kennedy of Hingham, formerly of Weymouth, died October 17, 2021 after a brief bout of Pneumonia. She was 81.

Eleanor always put others ahead of herself. She enjoyed the company of others and was a great conversationalist. Being a grandmother was the role that Eleanor was waiting to star in. Not only was she an exceptional grandmother to her grandchildren, but she became “Grammy” to all her grandchildren’s friends as well. She would attend all the plays and sporting events of her granddaughters. Eleanor appreciated the little things in life and greatly enjoyed baking and feeding her family. She enjoyed boating and had a special place in her heart for her dogs Willy and Ernie.

Daughter of the late Eleanor and Herbert Finch. Beloved wife of Joseph R. Kennedy. Loving mother of W. Scott Tregoning and his significant other Kimberly Mark of Hingham and Lori Donnellan and her husband Will of Hingham. Sister of Earl Finch of Quincy, the late Jack Finch and the late Carol Finch. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will be private.
