Eleanor M. Lindberg

Lindberg, Eleanor M. (Higgins) of Hingham, passed away August 13, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Francis C. Lindberg. Loving mother of John Lindberg of Hanover, Anne Callahan of Hingham, Charles Lindberg and his wife Beth of Norwood and Clare Lindberg of Hingham. Sister of the late Frances Lovell and Marie Higgins. Cherished grandmother of Christopher and Brian Lindberg of Pembroke, Matthew Callahan of Troy, NY, Mark Lindberg of Astoria, NY , Tara Lindberg of Acton, Caroline Leonard and Jessica Leonard both of Hingham. Eleanor was a life long resident of Hingham, she was educated in Hingham public schools and was a graduate and class secretary of Hingham High School class of 1937. Eleanor is described by her family as a women who had a wonderful personality who was very charitable and always had an open home to friends and family. Eleanor enjoyed entertaining, cooking and gatherings with the Hillside Terrace neighbors and friends. In her earlier years Eleanor worked for Boston Gas Company and was briefly employed at the Pentagon. Above all things Eleanor’s family was the cornerstone of her life. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at Thursday at 9:45am prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
